My Academic Background:I received the Higher Diploma in Applied Statistics from City Polytechnic of Hong Kong 1992 as a part-time student. In the same year, I started to study and received the Bachelor of Science (First Honour) from City University of Hong Kong in 1996.
I joined the Image Computing Group (ICG) Laboratory in the same university as a research student in 1996 and finished my PhD degree in the year of 2002. My PhD project topic was the content-based image retrieval of color logos under the supervision of Prof. Horace H. S. Ip , who is currently the head of Department of Computer Science of our university.
I am now a Senior Research Assistant in ICG, focusing on feature selection for 3D head model retrieval. My research interests include content-based image retrieval, 3D model retrieval, genetic algorithms, feature selection and deformable model.

My Religion:
I was baptised in 1989 and is currently a member of All Saints' Church, Anglican Church, Hong Kong. I attend church activities regularly for services and fellowship. Each Saturday and Sunday, we brothers and sisters serve the God together as well as share our own joy and bitterness during lunch and fellowship.

My Hobbies:
I love to play around extremely. In younger ages, I play bridge, chess and soccer. Now, I play basketball, badminton and bridge. Sometimes, I also go out with friends to watch a film, have a drink, etc. I also play computer games sometimes but not very often. Recently, I install Linux in my PC at home. I have to solved many installations and administrative problems. Playing with Linux is like playing a very difficult RPG! This is probably the most challenging computer game I have ever played!
