Current Projects (1993-1997)

Design and implementation of an application software for accessing database on Internet by using Java JDBC API, JDBC-ODBC bridge and Microsoft ODBC driver.
Design of a distributed and scaleable algorithm for mining association rules in a distributed database.
Design of multimedia system for construction and plan of Shanghai City by using Authorware programming technique.
Technical approaches for supporting multimedia communication in a distributed network.
Design and implementation of management information system of land plan of Shanghai city.
Applications and software simulation of neural networks in single or multiple processor systems.
Proposed a dynamic broadcast algorithm on ring topology, which has higher efficiency than the all-to-all broadcast algorithm.

Past Projects

Design and implementation of a reconfigurable system of topology which is based on multiple processor network, gave the formal description of reconfiguration software by using Communicating Sequential Processes, and implemented the reconfiguration software (1990-1993).
Design and implementation of 3 Computer Aided Education softwares, which are C Language Programming, Knowledge Engineering, and Date Structure & Algorithms courses respectively (1990-1993).
Design and implementation of a general expert system development tool "GEST-1", which exploits meta-knowledge sufficiently. GEST-1 is a general, flexible, and supports different types of inference control mode. It was used to develop the expert systems and decision supporting systems (1987-1989).

	Java/WWW/Html applications and construction of interactive information environment.
	Design and implementation of the software for accessing database on Internet by using JDBC API, JDBC-ODBC bridge and ODBC driver.
	Knowledge discovery and data mining in very large scale database.
	Client/Server computing and transaction processing of distributed systems.
	Design of graphic interface of applications.
	Multimedia applications of networks, real-time transportation and playback of multimedia information in distributed workstation systems and heterogeneous systems.
	Design and implementation of hybrid simulation software for neural network computation.
	Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) systems for heterogeneous concurrent computing in networks or cluster environments.

2. 1993-1996

	Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) systems for heterogeneous concurrent computing in networks or cluster environments, the construction and schedule of coarse grain tasks, and load balance in distributed systems.
	Multimedia applications of networks, real-time transportation and playback of multimedia information in distributed systems.
	Client/Server computing and transaction processing of distributed systems.
	Knowledge discovery and data mining in very large scale database. Data mining algorithms.
	Parallel computing models of neural networks, and design of the various parallel algorithms on multiple machines systems.

3. 1990-1993

	Supercomputer Architecture and Parallel Programming, Artificial Intelligence Theory.
	Design and implementation of a reconfigurable system of topology which is based on multi-transputer network, gave the formal description of reconfiguration software by using Communicating Sequential Processes ( proposed by C.A.R. Hoare ), and the reconfiguration software.
	Technical theory and computing model of belief system, proposed an associative plan method based on goals, designed counterplanning and its strategies, these methods and idea can be used to decision support systems in order to increase intelligent ability of DSS.
