Current Projects (1993-1997)

  1. Design and implementation of an application software for accessing database on Internet by using Java JDBC API, JDBC-ODBC bridge and Microsoft ODBC driver.
  2. Design of a distributed and scaleable algorithm for mining association rules in a distributed database.
  3. Design of multimedia system for construction and plan of Shanghai City by using Authorware programming technique.
  4. Technical approaches for supporting multimedia communication in a distributed network.
  5. Design and implementation of management information system of land plan of Shanghai city.
  6. Applications and software simulation of neural networks in single or multiple processor systems.
  7. Proposed a dynamic broadcast algorithm on ring topology, which has higher efficiency than the all-to-all broadcast algorithm.

Past Projects

  1. Design and implementation of a reconfigurable system of topology which is based on multiple processor network, gave the formal description of reconfiguration software by using Communicating Sequential Processes, and implemented the reconfiguration software (1990-1993).
  2. Design and implementation of 3 Computer Aided Education softwares, which are C Language Programming, Knowledge Engineering, and Date Structure & Algorithms courses respectively (1990-1993).
  3. Design and implementation of a general expert system development tool "GEST-1", which exploits meta-knowledge sufficiently. GEST-1 is a general, flexible, and supports different types of inference control mode. It was used to develop the expert systems and decision supporting systems (1987-1989).
